Lib Dems We Can Cut Crime campaign in Eastfield
Eastfield residents and Councillors held a 'We Can Cut Crime' day on Saturday. Local Lib Dems were promoting their five step to a safer Eastfield:
• More police, no ID card waste.
• Take back our town centres - shut troublemaking pubs and clubs.
• Life sentences should mean life.
• Compulsory work, education and training in prisons: that'll cut reoffending.
• Better compensation for victims.
Cllrs Brian O'Flynn, Brian Simpson and Parliamentary Candidate Tania Exley-Moore collected more than a hundred signatures in support of the tough on crime policies, which will be sent to Shadow Home Secretary Nick Clegg to present to Parliament.
