Gordon Brown: raider of the lost pensions.
Gordon Brown's mask slipped today when he insisted his raid on pension funds was right and that he'd do it again. In a speech in Scotland where Labour are expected to get drubbed at the polls, the Chancellor pointed out that the pensions raid had let him cut corporation tax.
Scarborough and Whitby Parliamentary Candidate Tania Exley-Moore said: 'From his own mouth he's just admitted that he's taken from pensioners to give to business. Gordon Brown should get on his knees in Scarborough and Whitby town centres and ask local pensioners for forgiveness.
"It's clear that he knew exactly what he was doing when he pillaged pension funds in 1997, and no amount of wriggling or spinning will change that. Margaret Thatcher stopping schoolkids' milk was petty theft compared to Gordon's ramraid on retired people's savings.
"From now on we'll be reminding people - Your pension's down: thanks to Gordon Brown."
